In creating this show, we embraced the simple magic of theatre in order to reveal the essential beauty of imagination. We have tried to honor Seussical’s true message - whether saving an entire world, or a single lonely individual, true magic comes from love, bravery, compassion, loyalty, and community.  After all, “a person’s a person, no matter how small.”

The inspiration for this show came from many places: Bill Irwin, David Shiner, deconstructed musicals, living room forts, the movies of Tim Burton and Pixar Studios, a child in love with the moon, Bob Fosse, the original Broadway production of Pippin, putting stars on the ceiling, The Point, memorizing great Broadway choreography, putting on shows in your childhood home, true friends, playful experiments, and joyful exhibition.

And above all, knowing that when you have really big thinks, they have a home in the theatre.
